Erica Dunwoody Oliver

Erica is a clinical trainee pursuing her Master of Social Work (MSW) at Virginia Commonwealth University. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Health Care Administration from Southern Illinois University at Carbondale and a Master of Science in Management with a specialty in Business Administration from Webster University.With more than 20 years of experience in the medical field, Erica brings a unique combination of compassion, leadership, advocacy, and real-world experience to her work with clients. Her professional background includes direct patient care, medical administration, financial leadership, and service within both private healthcare and federal settings.

As a military spouse and mother of three adult children, Erica understands firsthand the complexities that can accompany family life, transitions, balancing multiple responsibilities, and adapting to change. Having lived in various states throughout her journey, she brings an appreciation for diverse experiences, backgrounds, and perspectives.Erica also has a strong passion for community engagement and working with young people. Her volunteer experience includes mentoring preteens and teenagers and helping individuals and families connect with critical financial, medical, and social resources.

At LIG Coaching and Counseling, Erica works with adolescents ages 13 and older and adults. She is committed to creating a safe, confidential, nonjudgmental, and supportive environment where clients feel comfortable being themselves and openly discussing their experiences. Her areas of interest include anxiety, depression, grief and loss, life transitions, stress, self-esteem, relationship and family concerns, and navigating everyday life challenges.Erica believes that every individual deserves to feel heard, respected, and supported. Her approach emphasizes meeting clients where they are while helping them recognize their strengths, develop healthy coping strategies, and work toward meaningful personal growth.
